A new law taking effect in Virginia allows people to choose to be buried by their pets. The law takes effect July 1st and makes Virginia the third state in the country to allow these arrangements.
As of now there are no plans to create a human and pet section at the Evergreen Memorial Trust, but enough demand would certainly be cause for consideration of a new section.
